IR Iran-Jordan enhanced ties beneficial to region: Envoy AMMAN, Jordan, Feb 9, IRNA – Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ambassador to Jordan Mostafa Moslehzadeh said that the expansion of ties between Iran and Jordan in political, economic, and cultural fields is beneficial in resolving the regional problems.

He made the remarks at a press conference in the Jordanian capital, Amman on Thursday on the occasion of the 33rd victory of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution.   ‘Iran favors enhancement of ties and exchange of delegations at different levels between two countries, especially given the fact that reforms and elections are among the government’s policies in Jordan,’ Moslehzadeh added.   Asked about the possibility of the outbreak of a new war in the region by the US, he said that the Americans have prepared the tactical requirements for a war in the region such as bringing warships, but they are strategically incapable of engaging in a long-lasting war in the region.   ‘In contrast to what the US is doing in the region, Islamic Republic of Iran is trying to bring about peace and tranquility to the region. Air Force commander, foreign military attaches confer Tehran, Feb 8, IRNA — Military attaches of foreign countries conferred with the commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Air Force Brigadier General Hassan Shah Safi here on Thursday.

IRAN/ TURKEY – 11 abducted Iranians handed over in Turkey

11 abducted Iranians handed over in Turkey ADANA, Turkey, Feb 8, IRNA – The 11 Iranians who were abducted in Syria last month were handed over to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s officials here on Thursday night.

The 11 Iranians will be flown to Iran on an Iran Air flight.   Iranian consul in Ankara, Mohammad Reza Kharazi, had told IRNA that because the airport in the Turkish city of Hatay has been under construction, he had asked the Turkish officials to hand over the abducted Iranians in Adana city.   ‘The efforts by the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Ankara and Turkish officials resulted in freedom of the kidnapped Iranians,’ he added.   Kharazi also expressed hope that the seven Iranian engineers abducted last month will be freed soon.   ( Fonte: www.irna.ir )
