Information Minister.. Government Persistent to Dialogue to Solve Crisis

Feb 20, 2013

DAMASCUS, (SANA)-Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi affirmed that the government is going into a national dialogue that wouldn’t exclude anyone to discuss the pending issues, deepen democracy, going to electoral polls and finding a political process with a Syrian will.

“Invitation is sent to all Syrians inside and abroad.. the state has provided all guarantees and logistic tools for the opposition behind borders to facilitate the participation of those who wish to take part in a profound, serious dialogue,” Minister al-Zoubi said during a meeting with leadership cadres at al-Baath party’s Branch in Damascus.

He reviewed the phases of the political program that includes social and economic solutions as well as issues related to freedoms, reconciliation, relief and temporary resort centers.

“Syria is persistent to dialogue even if violence continues, as it will decrease the extent of violence, create a new atmosphere which encourages it with keeping the state’s constitutional right in applying law and consolidating security,” the Minister said.

He saw that the international stance began to return to the right way after it was confident that dissociation of the state and “toppling the regime by force” is impossible, criticizing the UN Envoy Lakhdar Brahimi who ignored the political program proposed by Syria.
