Iranian nation will transform plots into opportunities through logic: envoy Tehran, Jan 25, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to Ukraine Akbar Qasemi said on Wednesday that the Iranian nation will transform plots of the bullying powers into opportunities through extra efforts, intelligence and logic.

Addressing a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of establishment of Iran-Ukraine diplomatic ties, he referred to the status of prominent scientists of the two countries such as Shevchenko, Ali-Mohammadi and Ahmadi-Rowshan and said that all the scientists have made efforts in line with their countries’ progress and independence.   He also contended that nobody can block Iran’s progress through the assassination of scientists.   Recalling Iran’s full cooperation with international energy organizations, Qasemi also said that Iran is the most committed member of NPT which pursues its peaceful atomic goals through logical cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).   ( Fonte: www.irna.ir )

Turkish FM: Iran-Turkey border, border of everlasting peace Ankara, Jan 25, IRNA – Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Wednesday said Iran-Turkey borders are borders of everlasting peace.

Her said Turkey will not let its neighbors (namely Iran, Russia and Syria) be targeted by NATO.   He made the remarks ar a press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow after participating in the second Turkey-Russia strategic planning meeting.   Answering a question on probability of the West’s military action against Iran, Davutoglu said Turkey will not participate in any action against Iran.   ( Fonte: www.irna.ir )

IRAN/ IRAQ – Iranian nation, gov’t for having maximum cooperation with Iraq: official

Iranian nation, gov’t for having maximum cooperation with Iraq: official Tehran, Jan 25, IRNA – Presidential Advisor for international affairs, Ali Saeedlou said here on Wednesday that the Iranian government and nation are determined to have maximum cooperation with Iraq.

In a meeting with Iraqi Transportation Minister Hadi Farhan al-Amiri, he referred to the current situation in the region and said that collapse of the dictator Saddam Hossein and exit of the occupiers from the Arab state provided suitable opportunity for the country’s progress.   Saeedlou, who heads Iran-Iraq Development Headquarters added that fortunately, Iraq has taken excellent measures to forge unity with its neighboring states.   Referring to great capacities of the two countries for maximizing bilateral ties, he proposed to make optimum use of the opportunities.   Their capacities are such that that they can take steps in line with regional development, he noted, adding the agreements signed by them should be implemented at the earliest.   Al-Amiri, for his part, said that there are numerous opportunities for joint activities but they have not been used properly.   He also underlined development of cooperation in the field of transportation and facilitating the transmit of passengers, pilgrims in particular.   ( Fonte: www.irna.ir )
