The Lebanese parliament witnessed Wednesday a fierce verbal clash between “Loyalty to Resistance Bloc” MP Nawaf Moussawi and “Phalange” MP Sami Gemayel.

Waging a verbal attack on the resistance’s communication net work, MP Gemayel criticized what he called “Hizbullah illegal excavation and installation works,” claiming that “what is taking place resembles a security violation to the Lebanese territories.”

Replying to Gemayel’s false accusations, MP Moussawi stressed that “this resistance is Lebanese, and it carries a clear identity.”

“When it talks about the increase of its defense, the resistance announces that,” he clarified noting that “since the invasion of 1982, there were some people in Lebanon who were part of the aggression, as they coordinated it with “Israeli” invaders.”

Moussawi vowed that the “resistance will continue in this faith and we will give sacrifices,” adding that “all governments that were formed earlier in Lebanon
coincided that this resistance enjoys constitutional legitimacy.”

“They adopted the resistance’s approach,” he emphasized.

“Who asked you to protect us, we need to protect ourselves from the resistance,” Phalange MP added.

“The resistance will act in the way it views as proper to protect Lebanon and the communication net work that the enemy attacked,” Hizbullah MP confirmed addressing Gemayel by saying “we didn’t hear you commenting on the subject.”

“We don’t seek protection from agents, we are able to protect ourselves, and you know your history,” Moussawi stressed.

The Iranian students issues a statement in which they called upon the Iranian government to freeze all UK assets in their country, in addition to a total cut in diplomatic bilateral ties.

“After the evil government of Britain launched a new round of malignant hostilities against the Iranian nation and received a firm response for them, suggestions were made by some political bodies that we should not cut all ties with Britain”, the statement introduced.
The students’ statement wondered how long it would take the Iranian politicians to wake up from the “slumber of negligence” and treat hegemonic powers as Imam Khomeini taught.

The statement elaborated, “The sinister government of Britain witnessed that Iran has grown powerful in the region with significant development in cultural, economic, military, and political areas. Moreover, it saw that all liberal nations in the world are following the lead of the Iranian nation.”
“Thus, after imposing all kinds of sanctions and exerting excessive pressure on the Iranian nation, the British government mustered up all its strength to launch an all-out economic war on Iran imposing sanctions on Iran’s Central Bank,” the statement further read.

“But, on behalf of Iran’s suffering people, we students, protesting Britain’s policies and actions throughout history, thank the Iranian government and parliament for some of their actions aimed at downgrading ties with Britain and urgently ask the country’s officials to continue until all ties with the “Old Fox” are cut. This way, other countries are taught a lesson and would not consider planning conspiracies against us,” it also added.

Moreover, the students’ statement stressed that the students will no longer tolerate re-establishing relations with Britain and will not allow such a country to find a place in Iran after it has exerted so many offences against it and its nation.
